
Job Title: Accounts Associate
About the Role: The Accounts Associate is an entry-level position within the Finance and Accounts function, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting in financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Routine Execution - Record daily financial transactions in accounting systems - Process invoices, payments, and receipts - Maintain accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) records - Assist with bank entries and basic reconciliations - Ensure proper documentation of financial records and vouchers Coordination - Collaborate with internal teams for invoice approvals and payments - Follow up with vendors and customers for payments and documentation - Support finance team in timely account closures - Assist in data collection for audits and reporting Problem-Solving - Identify discrepancies in invoices, payments, or records - Reconcile basic account differences - Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards - Suggest improvements in record-keeping and documentation processes Role Growth - Learn accounting standards and compliance requirements - Develop understanding of financial statements and reporting - Build skills in reconciliations and financial analysis - Progress from data entry to handling end-to-end accounting tasks
Key Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related fields; MBA (Finance) is a plus - 0–1 year of experience; internships or academic exposure preferred - Basic understanding of accounting principles and processes - Proficiency in Excel (formulas, data handling) - Attention to detail and accuracy - Knowledge of financial documentation and compliance - Good communication and coordination skills - Organized, responsible, and eager to learn
