Job Summary: As an Associate Environmental Engineer in the Environmental Engineering function for the Chemical domain, you will support environmental protection projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and work on the sustainability of chemical processes. You will assist in environmental assessments, pollution control, and the implementation of environmental management systems. This role requires a strong foundation in environmental engineering principles, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design and implementation of environmental protection projects, including waste treatment, pollution control, and remediation.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and risk analyses for chemical processes and products.
• Collect and analyze environmental data to monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Support the development and maintenance of environmental management systems (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001.
• Participate in environmental audits and inspections, and prepare detailed reports on findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainability initiatives.
• Provide technical support for the development of pollution prevention and waste minimization strategies.
• Stay updated with current environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in environmental engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of environmental engineering principles and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in using environmental monitoring equipment and software for data analysis.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with specific environmental assessment techniques (e.g., EIA, risk analysis).
