Job Summary: As an Associate Power Systems Engineer in the Power Systems Engineering function for the Electrical and Electronics domain, you will assist in the design, analysis, and optimization of power systems. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical power systems. This role requires a strong foundation in power systems engineering principles, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design and development of electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Conduct simulations and analyses to evaluate system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design reports, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and quality assurance, to ensure system integration and performance.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Maintain and update power system models and databases.
• Support the development and implementation of power systems engineering standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in power systems engineering.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in power systems engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of power systems engineering principles and design processes.
• Proficiency in using simulation and modeling software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with specific power systems engineering tools and software (e.g., PSS/E).
• Familiarity with protection and control systems.
• Knowledge of best practices in power systems design and analysis.
