
Job Title: Financial Compliance Associate
About the Role: The Financial Compliance Associate is an entry-level position within the Risk & Compliance function, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The role involves supporting the organization in ensuring adherence to financial regulations, internal policies, and compliance frameworks. The incumbent will assist in executing compliance checks, maintaining documentation, and supporting audit and reporting activities. Key Responsibilities: Routine Execution - Conduct basic compliance checks on financial transactions and processes - Maintain and update compliance records, registers, and documentation - Support the preparation of compliance reports and periodic filings - Ensure proper documentation for audits and regulatory reviews Coordination - Collaborate with finance, legal, internal audit, and operations teams to gather compliance-related data - Follow up on compliance gaps, pending actions, and documentation requirements - Facilitate communication between compliance, audit, and business teams - Assist in supporting external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation Problem-Solving - Identify inconsistencies or deviations from compliance requirements - Escalate non-compliance issues or risks to senior team members - Support root cause analysis of compliance gaps - Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions Role Growth - Develop understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks - Learn audit processes and regulatory reporting standards - Build skills in compliance analysis and risk identification - Progress towards handling small compliance reviews independently
Key Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA (Finance) preferred - 0–1 year of experience; internships or academic exposure in finance, compliance, or audit advantageous - Basic understanding of financial processes, compliance concepts, and regulatory requirements - Knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills - Analytical mindset with basic data interpretation abilities - High integrity, ethical conduct, and willingness to learn - Good communication and coordination skills - Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines
